We are very pleased to announce the newest release in AEF's family :
Advanced Electron Forum 1.0.9

this release includes various bug fixes,security patches, and performance improvements

major changes and additions are :
  1. Quick Topic : thus your users will enjoy creating new threads with Electron's speed
  2. Quick Reply : fast and easy to use quick reply box in each thread (must be activated from admin panel)
  3. Private message notification : a better notification for your private messages
    4. and much more that we were unable to count !!

I tried to update, but on the update panel in the Admin CP, it said "Could not connect to AEF" :(

Hi,

Are you using the automatic upgrader in the admin panel or the upgrader package we provided in the downloads page of this website?

Are you running the upgrader from /upgrade/ on your board instead of /setup/ ?

Hi,

never mind that, some parts of the website were doing because of heavy spam downloads (lol ?)
fixed now

but i got a BIG BIG idea that will prevent Bots from registering/commenting doing anything using forms =P

Good work guys.
You guys got to do alot to catch up.
Also I would test 1.0.9
BTW, 1.0.9 (the one I had coded but didnt release) had some important bug fixes and some DB changes to speed up AEF nearly 2 times.

Please take them and apply them in the next version.
You can use a DIFF TOOL to see the changes I had created.
