Recently, Our logs got overloaded with non-sent mails (Fail), and it seems like spammers are using Tell A Friend section, to use your board for spamming.
We would like you to disable this feature until we fix it in the next version...
Thank you for your understanding.

Best Regards

Yes this is causing a major problem in the last couple of days. I've disabled 'tell a friend' but the server is under load from a couple of sites which are sending hundreds of requests per minute.

We have incountered the same problem regarding our website; 1550 spam mails in less then a day .
I have disabled the "tell a friend" option from control panel and i made some modifications at Cpanel, mail section ;(mail management tools),
and it worked, no more spamm mails.
Enabled SpamAssassin at [email protected]
( automated email filtering system that attempts to identify spam messages based on the content of the email's headers and body).

Enabled BoxTrapper Spam at [email protected]  (require configuration)

Try the firs option an if it doesn't work, activate the second one .

Or we could fix it and possibly have it disabled by default? :P
