I had this exact error on my Localhost EasyPHP 3.0 but it worked fine when I installed on XAMPP

What errors are you getting?
Does the Install cause the Database to be filled?
Are you getting a white page?

We need more information to help you with this issue.

What Server are you using? Hosted Account or Localhost?

This message  appears on the screen while installing aef :
  field 'realname' doesnt not have default value
I found that there are columns in users table defined as tinytext not null but in the //admin account insert statement in mysql.php, these columns does not have values

Were you able to install the AEF onto your system?
